The Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge is a paid feature offered to select users that have met platform-defined eligibility criteria.
2. Who can get the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge?
Any OLX user, whether Paid, Unpaid, or Elite/ non-Elite, can earn a Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge if they are eligible as per the platform-defined criteria. The user will receive a notification, and the disabled icon on their account will indicate that they are eligible to opt for the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge.
3. What are the eligibility criteria to obtain the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge?
A user shall be eligible for the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge, if the user satisfies the following criteria amongst others:
- The user mandatorily has a One-Time Password (OTP) verified phone number;
- The user account has been active on the platform for a minimum duration;
- The user account is not suspended, banned, or disabled as per the platform’s policies at the time of assessment (A user account that has been reinstated following a prior suspension, ban or disablement shall not be ineligible for the badge); and
- The user meets our trust and safety criteria, determined through an AI-based evaluation of user behavior and activity on the platform.
4. Does the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge guarantee safety in transactions?
While the badge indicates that a user has met platform-defined eligibility criteria, we do not guarantee the safety of/in transactions in any form and manner, and always recommend following OLX’s safety guidelines when listing or replying. The Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge does not:
- constitute any affiliation, sponsorship, or approval of a user by the platform; and,
- guarantee the identity, behavior, or future actions of any user.
5. How do I earn the Verified User (Powered by AI) badge?
You shall be automatically eligible to purchase the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge when you meet the platform-defined eligibility criteria, some of which are mentioned above in Point 3. The badge becomes visible thereafter, upon payment of the subscription fee,s and such user account becomes a verified user (“Verified User”).
6. Where will my Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge be visible?
Your badge will appear across OLX in relation to your profile, inquiries, and listings in the following manner:
- Your Profile page
- Listing Page
- Ad Product View & User Insights below Ad Product View
7. Why is the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge important for me?
See all Verified Users & Verifiable Users - A Verified User shall be enabled with the feature to view other Verified Users and users who meet the platform defined eligibility criteria but have not subscribed to the feature i.e., a verifiable user (“Verifiable User”) on the platform, with the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge displayed adjacent to such user accounts, in the following manner:
- Other User’s profile page:
- Chat window & Chat inbox
- Ad Product View & User Insights below Ad Product View
- Listing Page
More engagement: Expect to be prioritised, higher reply rates, faster responses, and better lister and replier conversions.
More visibility: Your listings stand out with the badge and can be filtered by repliers looking for other Verified Users and Verifiable Users.
8. Can my Verified User (Powered by AI) badge be removed?
Yes. If you are reported for fraud, spam, or policy violations, and/or if you get banned based on internal and external findings, your badge will be automatically removed without any prior intimation about the same.
9. Is the badge available for all categories and platforms?
Yes. The Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge is category-agnostic and visible everywhere across OLX, on all platforms.
10. How long is the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge valid for, and what is its expiration policy?
The Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge validity depends upon the selection of your package on your profile page that clearly stipulates the validity days of the package, and subject to the fulfillment of the platform-defined eligibility criteria, expires automatically.
11. Can I renew my Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge?
Yes, subject to the fulfilment of platform-defined eligibility criteria, your badge can be renewed, for which a notification about the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge renewal will be shared in the application and on the website.
12. How can I renew my Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge?
Subject to the fulfilment of platform-defined eligibility criteria, you'll receive a renewal reminder once the badge expires. You can then renew your badge online with the following steps.
- Open the OLX Consumer App.
- Go to the ‘Account’ section and click on ‘Renew Now’ from the profile tab;
- Complete payment and restart enjoying the Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge benefits.
13. If my Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge is removed before the package expiration date, will I be eligible for a refund for the remaining balance?
The Verified User (Powered by AI) Badge is non- refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable in nature in any given circumstances.
