1. What is the OLX BechDe Days Contest?
The OLX India BechDe Days Contest is a contest available on the OLX India Platform, where eligible users can participate by creating a listing during the Contest Period and subsequently answering a quiz/questionnaire.
2. When is the contest running?
The Contest starts at 00:00 hours on 17 August 2026 and ends at 23:59 hours on 21 August 2026, unless modified by OLX.
3. Who can participate in the contest?
To participate, you must:
- Be a subscribed user of the OLX Platform.
- Be a citizen of India.
- Not be a resident of Tamil Nadu.
- Not be an employee of OLX India.
- Create a listing on OLX during the Contest Period.
4. How do I participate?
Simply create a listing on the OLX Platform between 17 August and 21 August 2026. Qualified users will receive a quiz/questionnaire through a push notification.
5. How will I receive the quiz?
Eligible participants will receive the quiz/questionnaire via a push notification/message on their WhatsApp number after the window closes each day.
6. Is participation mandatory?
No. Participation in the contest is voluntary. By participating, you are considered to have read, understood, and accepted the contest T&C.
7. What are the prizes?
For each of the 5 consecutive contest days:
- 8 winners per day will receive a JBL Flip S2 speaker.
- 1 luckiest winner per day will receive the bumper prize of an iPhone 17.
8. How will the winners be selected?
Eligible entries will be reviewed and judged by OLX and its panel of judges. Winners will be selected randomly from the eligible entries, at the sole discretion of the Company and its panel of judges.
9. When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced within 48–72 hours. They will be contacted through a call, WhatsApp, or SMS on their registered contact number to confirm their eligibility and claim the prize.
10. How will I know if I have won?
If you are selected as a winner, OLX will contact you on your registered contact number through call, WhatsApp or SMS.
11. Do I need to pay any tax on the prize?
Yes. Prizes exceeding ₹10,000 will attract 31.2% TDS. The TDS must be borne and paid by the winner before the prize is handed over.
12. What happens if I do not pay the applicable TDS?
If the applicable TDS is not paid before the prize handover, OLX reserves the right to withdraw the prize at its discretion.
13. Will I receive proof/credit for the TDS deducted?
The corresponding credit of the TDS deducted will be available in the winner's PAN account, in accordance with applicable law.
14. When will my prize be delivered?
After the winner confirms their details and submits valid legal ID proof, the reward will be dispatched within 30 days.
15. What documents may be required if I win?
Winners may be required to provide valid legal ID proof and other documentary or supporting evidence for eligibility verification.
16. Can OLX verify my details after I win?
Yes. All winners are subject to verification. OLX may verify the information independently or through an authorized agency/person and may request documentary evidence.
17. What happens if my information cannot be verified?
If the documents or evidence provided do not substantiate the information submitted, OLX may disqualify the winner at its sole discretion.
18. Can OLX change or cancel the contest?
Yes. OLX reserves the right to extend, cancel, discontinue, withdraw, change, alter or modify the contest or any part of it at its discretion, including due to business, regulatory, statutory or force majeure circumstances.
19. Can OLX contact me after I participate?
Yes. By participating, you consent to OLX contacting you through call, SMS or email for winner announcements and promotional/advertising communications relating to products marketed, distributed or supplied by OLX or its representatives/partners.
20. Is the contest sponsored by another social media platform?
No. The T&C specifically state that the contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by any other social media platform.
21. Can I submit any type of content as part of the contest?
No. Contestants must not post or submit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, misleading, infringing, threatening or otherwise objectionable as specified in the T&C.
22. What happens if there is a technical issue while participating?
OLX will not be responsible for system outages, delays, equipment malfunctions, data loss, connection failures, transmission failures or other technological difficulties or force majeure events that prevent participation.
23. What happens if I submit incomplete or illegal content?
OLX may cancel/remove content containing incomplete information or illegal content, including content that is racist, sexist, defamatory or that glorifies violence.
24. What if the contest is declared void in a particular state?
If the contest is considered, declared or deemed void in any state under the governing law, OLX will not be liable to provide cashback, gifts or compensation to contestants.
25. What happens in case of a force majeure event?
OLX may modify or cancel the contest in circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, terrorism-related risks, civil war, government actions or other circumstances that may adversely affect the contest or make its continuation commercially unviable.
