OLX is taking the following measures to ensure a safe exchange
Mentioned below are not allowed on our platforms:
- Coronavirus vaccines & medicines.
- Listings for selling cure or immunity boosters against Coronavirus/ falsely claiming the prevention or curing of the virus (eg lucky charms, medication that claims to boost immunity against coronavirus).
- Providing test services for Covid detection.
- Items/products for the prevention, remedy or identification of the virus (eg masks, disinfectants, hand sanitiser gels, blood test for testing the virus, etc). Otherwise, they are allowed on site as normally sold with appropriate price without any above medical claims.
- Ads with Images containing jokes, memes or other offensive, trivialising or ridiculing coronavirus material or related terms.
OLX also urges its users to be safe.
- Practice Safe Hygiene: Maintain a safe distance and wash sanitize your hands frequently. Wear a mask, if you feel the need.
- Do not buy used masks and gloves: These can be potentially infected and cause more harm than good.
- Do not buy any medicines claiming to be a cure: There is no specific treatment yet known for Covid-19, so healthcare providers treat the clinical symptoms (e.g. fever, difficulty breathing) of patients. Beware of such Ayurvedic or herbal medicines claiming to be a cure for the disease.
- Do not upload or provide any false or unverified information concerning coronavirus in your listings or through our chat feature which would likely create panic among the public and disturb the public order and social tranquillity
- Sanitize all products after buying.
- Be on the lookout and report any suspicious listings or any content which does not meet our guidelines
